With the motto of “Respect for the Environment,” we operate in line with the principles of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Considering not only our internal operations but also our surrounding environment, we have installed one wet electrostatic filter and four electrostatic filters in our facilities.

Building on the principle of free formaldehyde minimization, which originated in North America and has rapidly spread worldwide, Sunfa MDF has developed ultra-low formaldehyde MDF panels with E‑0 emission levels, far below the current E‑1 standard. These high-quality products have been certified by CARB/EPA, ensuring compliance with the strictest international environmental and health standards.

In compliance with national and international standards and regulations relevant to our industry, we implement all necessary occupational health and safety measures to ensure that our employees—who are entrusted to us by their families—can work in a safe and healthy environment.

To support both employee well-being and the production of high-quality products, we fully implement the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System without compromise.

In today’s world, where energy efficiency is a critical priority, Sunfa MDF is committed to the optimal use of energy resources, the reduction of fossil fuel consumption, and the efficient utilization of electrical energy. Through continuous investment and innovation, the company has been making significant progress and achieving higher standards year after year.

Since 1997, the use of coal and similar fossil fuels has been completely eliminated across its production facilities, while natural gas consumption has also been significantly reduced. By prioritizing bio-based fuels, Sunfa MDF not only minimizes environmental impact but also contributes to reducing dependence on imported energy sources. Through these forward-looking investments, the company continues to play a leading role in promoting sustainable practices within the wood-based panel industry.

Aware since its foundation that sustainable forestry is the cornerstone of the industry, Sunfa MDF has devoted significant efforts to this cause. The company is among the first in the sector to obtain FSC® certification, formally documenting its commitment to responsible forest management. By sourcing raw materials from well-managed, undamaged forests, Sunfa MDF produces high-quality products that meet customer expectations while supporting environmental sustainability.

All of our products are manufactured in compliance with the relevant TSE and European Union EN standards, and this compliance has been formally certified:

• Particleboards: TS EN 312

• MDF panels: TS EN 622-5

• Melamine-coated boards: TS EN 14322
